The Ezekiel Ansah Foundation, which is owned by US-based National Football League star Ezekiel Ansah, has made a donation to 14 health centres in the Akropong traditional area in the Eastern region of Ghana.
The items included: hospital beds, and wheelchairs among others. The presentation ceremony came off at the Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital in Mampong.
Ansah reiterated his commitment to providing quality healthcare in Ghana after making the donation.
“Health has always been important to me. They say health is wealth and you need to be healthy to be able to play sport. My mum was a nurse so I have been around the health sector for a while,” he told Joy Sports.
In December last year, the Ezekiel Ansah Foundation donated items and equipment to pregnant women and new mothers in Akropong.
The Ezekiel Ansah Foundation seeks to create opportunities for the Ghanaian youth in sports, education and health.
