The newly sworn-in Chairperson of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), says she will make Ghanaians proud.
Kathleen Addy said she will not renege on her duties.
Speaking at a short ceremony at the Presidency on Thursday, Kathleen Addo added that she will work to renew the Commission.
“I would like to, once again, thank you for the honor done me. I would like to thank all gathered here for showing up on this occasion. I am grateful. I promise the people of Ghana that I will execute my mandate to the best of my ability and I look forward to a renewed NCCE,” she added.
She thus asked Ghanaians to support her to deliver on her mandate.
On the side of the government, President Akufo-Addo assured her of the needed support.
The President also charged her to live up to the constitutional obligations required of the Commission.
“We will continue to provide the needed resources, both technical and financial, to enable the Commission to carry out, effectively, its unique role in our national development,” he said.
