Nigerian actor Yul Edochie is calling on Nigerians to use the energy gathered to criticise him after announcing he had married another woman, to support his bid for the presidency in 2023.
In a video posted to his social media platforms, he urged the public to buy him a presidential form so that together, they can take the reigns and fix the country.
He stated that the world is still skating with the news that he has a family and the united energy knows no tribe, no religion and no gender.
This energy, he believes when focused, can be used positively to help him win the presidency and together build a better country.
“The energy you all applied and still are applying is unmatchable. The energy is unparalleled, my dear Nigerians, we can make use of this energy positively, I cannot do this alone. We cannot do this alone, I need you, Nigerians. Nigeria needs you.”
“Nigeria needs you. My dear Nigerians, please, I appeal to you, buy me a presidential form let's win this election. My fellow Nigerians, please buy me the presidential form and together we will take back our country and fix it,” Yul Edochie said.
This comes days after Yul Edochie surprised many fans and followers when he revealed on Instagram, that he had married another woman and they share a son.
The announcement did not sit well with his first wife, with whom he has been married, for nearly 18 years and shares four children.
Some fans, who sympathised with May, chastised the actor for having kids with another woman.
In his video, Yul Edochie noted that “The energy is coming from the North, South, East and West and indeed the whole world. Once again, the energy is united.”
However, he believes that the collective criticisms sent his way can be focused on Nigeria and the need to make it better.
“With this energy, we can take back our country and fix it. I cannot do it alone. I need you, we need you. Nigeria needs you,” he added.
