The phenomenon past and present governments have been working tirelessly to eradicate has found a place on Twitter's trend list for today, April 12.
"Dumsor" to wit "intermittent power supply" is that dreadful occurrence that has got the social media space buzzing.
According to users, what the incumbent government has out rightly rejected, is currently present. While some indicated that they have been in darkness for hours, others said they have slept in darkness for days.
The users believe the issue of maintenance is just to cover up the obvious, i.e. "dumsor is back."
Some areas affected include Adabraka, New Bortianor, Frafraha.
Meanwhile, users have called on the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) to come clean and allow citizens to schedule their activities to help mitigate the effects of the frequent power outages.
According to the Ministry of Energy, "there is no way that this country will go back to the dark days of ‘dumsor’.”
This is because the country is currently not facing challenges with power generation.
