Eastern Regional Police Command has charged drivers not to drink and drive during the Kwahu Easter celebration to minimise accidents.
The Command's Public Relations Officer, DSP Ebenezer Tetteh explained that some of the road accidents are preventable.
According to him, there are two alternative roots to and from the mountain that will go a long way to help improve security.
He made this known during security inspection and preparation for Kwahu Easter festivities.
Speaking about the upcoming celebration, he revealed that many car parks have been created to help reduce traffic situations.
He finally appealed to truck drivers to desist from climbing or descending the mountains from Thursday to Monday during the period.
Adom News further spoke to the Municipal Chief Executive for Kwawu South, Emmanuel Atta Ofori Snr who indicated that the road from Atibie to Odweanoma paragliding site is 80% completed.
He expressed hope that the contractor will complete or make the stretch motorable for revelers.
On the issue of crime prevention, the police have devised two roots. Ascending commuters are expected to use the Nkawkaw-Atibie road while those descending must resort to the Obomeng - Nkawkaw road.
