Ghanaian music producer, Benjamin Garzy Mensah, professionally known as Mix Master Garzy, has opined that the sound produced in Ghana is at par with the Nigerian sound.

In an interview with Andy Dosty, on Daybreak Hitz, on Hitz 103.9 FM, he said he feels Ghanaian music producers are producing quality sound—and it’s on the same level of as the sound produced by Nigerian producers.

Garzy shared his view on a statement made by veteran music producer, Wei Ye Oteng, in a Facebook post on the topic “Nigerians produce better sound than Ghana, on a larger scale”.

“I don’t see any difference between both sounds, and if it’s quality, we are on the same level,” Garzy stated.

The “Pull Up” producer also added that the only reason why Nigeria sound is reaching across boards is because they have a huge market.

“Because they have a lot of people wanting to do music and having a lot of people wanting to be music producers,” he said.

Mix Master Garzy, who has worked with a lot of A-list artistes in Nigeria such as Davido, Patoranking, Kizz Daniel and Tiwa Savage, also added that Ghanaian songs are sometimes sampled by Nigerian artiste and producers.

“When it comes to sampling Nigerians are sampling most our songs so if we do not have the best nobody will sample us” he told Andy.
