The senior national team, the Black Stars, qualified for the World Cup after holding the Super Eagles of Nigeria to a 1-1 draw in Abuja.
The Stars secured a spot to play at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, to be hosted by Qatar, after playing out a stalemate with Nigeria at the Moshood Abiola Stadium on Tuesday, March 29.
Thomas Partey opened the scoring in the 10th minute of the game after sending in a thunderous strike from outside the penalty box to give Ghana the lead, but William Troost-Ekong equalised for the home side.
Despite several attempts from Nigeria in the second half, there was no goal to separate the two sides as Ghana secured qualification on the away goal rule.
Meanwhile back in Ghana, fans have been celebrating after the Black Stars booked their ticket to the tournament.
Ghana returns to the 'Mondial' to be held between November and December this year, after missing out on the last edition in Russia in 2018.
