Ahead of the second leg of the World Cup Qualifier between the Ghana Black Stars and the Super Eagles of Nigeria, ardent listeners have predicted a win for the Black Stars.
The Black Stars face the Super Eagles in the second leg of their playoff tie at the Moshood Abiola Stadium later today after a scoreless stalemate at the Baba Yara Stadium last week Friday.
As today marks the day for the crucial game, President Akufo-Addo also marks his 78th Birthday.
Speaking ahead of the game on the Super Morning Show, listeners who phoned in were optimistic that Ghana's National team will beat Nigeria to the spot and this victory will be the best birthday gift the team would offer the President.
According to one caller, Prince from Kasoa, "Ghana is winning the match today." Another caller, Fred from Abossey Okai, said the team "will beat the Nigerians no matter their size or riches."
Elvis from East Legon also predicted that the Blacks would win with an early goal. "I can foresee an early goal but Ghana will win," he stressed.
Wisdom entreated the general public to allay all fears since the team will win and qualify for the World Cup. "All we know is that Ghana is qualifying today. It's the birthday of the President so we are praying they will win today," he stressed.
Chris from Kumasi said "I have no doubt that by rook or by crook we will win. We will beat them in their backyard and this will be the best birthday gift we will give to the President."
Robert from Navrongo said the stars will beat Nigeria by 2 goals to one. "I know the guys will put in their best to win the game and make Ghanaians proud," he stressed.
