Classic Rihanna.
While leaving a Santa Monica restaurant this week, the mother-to-be was asked about her rumored engagement to ASAP Rocky. A video shared by the Daily Mail shows the 34-year-old singer making her way to an SUV as a paparazzo points out the diamond ring she’s been rocking.
“Hi, Rihanna. That’s a beautiful ring on your finger, are you engaged?” the cameraman asks, prompting RiRi to laugh.
“This old ring!?” she responds. “Don’t act like ain’t ever seen this ring.”

Back in January, Rihanna and Rocky confirmed they were expecting their first child together, but gave no indication when—if ever—they planned to tie the knot. Marriage rumors were reignited this week, after Rihanna was spotted wearing a Sloan Solitaire ring from Briony Raymond on her ring finger; however, many fans pointed out that the Grammy-winning has donned the piece multiple times since 2021. However, this fact doesn’t rule out the engagement theory, as Rihanna and Rocky reportedly started dating back in 2020.
Rihanna spoke about entering motherhood in a recent interview with Elle, saying she will likely be a protective parent, just like the Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice.
“Teresa from Jersey does not play about her kids. She will flatten you about those kids,” she said. “And that resonates with me a lot because I feel like that’s the type of mom I’m going to be. Psycho about it. You talk about my kids, it’s over.”
