The Nsawam-Adoagyiri MP, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, has partnered with Books 2 Africa, a British charity organisation to donate reading materials to 12 schools in his constituency.
Tweeting about the latest donation in his MP's Literacy Project, the Majority Chief Whip said, "We have to provide quality reading materials to help nurture and direct their energies."
This was after he donated reading materials to Father Wieggers, Bishop Ato and Adoagyiri Methodist Schools on Monday.
So far 12 schools have benefited from the MP's attempt to get the children to catch the reading bug early to shape their reading culture.
Father Wingers, Bishop Ato, Nsawam Methodist, Nsawam Presby, Adoagyiri Presby, Nava Basic, Nsawam MA, James White Basic, Oparekrom basic, Anglican C basic, Zion basic and SDA basic schools are the beneficiaries.
The Majority Chief Whip said he is also embarking on equipping ICT centres of Junior and Senior High Schools in the constituency.
He said education is the best legacy anyone can leave for their children and as the MP, he is leading the way to seek the best for his constituents.
Mr Annoh-Dompreh said, "Students should learn hard to buy into the Free SHS policy and particularly prepare themselves for the future.
He added that "Parents must assist to develop the culture of reading in pupils.
