Wife of late Ghanaian music producer Eyoh Soundboy has revealed that they did not get enough financial support to undergo kidney transplant.
In an interview with Andy Dosty, Aisha Yussif mentioned that they needed GHS 91,807 to undergo a kidney transplant in India.
According to her, all efforts to raise that amount of money proved futile leading to the demise of her husband on Wednesday morning due to kidney failure.
“It never happened. We never got the support,” she said.
According to her, she is now widowed and carries the burden of taking care of 3 children aged eight, six and a year old respectively all by herself.
Responding to how she intends to take care of her children, Aisha Yussif replied saying that she believes she will be able to raise her children to be very respectful individuals in the future with the help of God.
“I don’t know how I’m going to do it but I leave it to God.”
Eyoh had battled kidney failure for close to a year before his demise.
In July 2021, it was revealed by his wife on Daybreak Hitz with Andy Dosty that Eyoh needed an amount of GHS 91,807 for dialysis a year. The likes of musician D-Black were among a few who made donations to support the late music producer.
Eyoh Soundboy was a music producer, CEO of Brainworkz TV and a sound engineer based in Ghana, he has been nominated as the producer of the year 2013 to his credit.
He has produced for the likes of Samini, Dr Slim, Dobble and many others.
