Government through the Information Ministry is organising its fourth Townhall meeting at Wa in the Upper West Region to explain the Electronic Transaction Levy (E-levy) to the populace.
The meeting is to sensitise citizens on the controversial e-levy as well as take feedback from relevant stakeholders on the levy.
The public’s feedback on the e-levy is expected to help the government with the implementation.
The following speakers; Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta; Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah; Ambrose Dery, who is Interior Minister, Issahaku Hamidu Chinia, Deputy Water and Sanitation Minister; and Upper West Regional Minister, Dr Hafiz Bin Salih will be addressing the audience at the event.
Prior to this, three Townhall meetings have been held in the Western, Eastern and Northern regional capitals to educate the masses on the advantages of the levy.
