The Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Dr. Mustapha Hamid has appealed to the Executive body of the Tanker Drivers Association to help fight tampering with seal of tankers.
He said there are between 10 to 15 tampering each day. A situation he said is worrying.
Interacting with some executive of the Association at BOST in Buipe on his five-region tour of offices and facilities under his authority, Dr. Hamid said not only is the siphoning of fuel a loss to government but also a danger to the lives of Ghanaians.

Dr. Mustapha also raised concerns over the refusal of the operators to accept electronic seals proposed to help fight the menace. He urged them to support the initiative.
The Vice Chairman of the Tanker Drivers Association, Nashiru Mohammed appealed to the CEO to help boost activities at the Buipe Depot to increase their businesses.
He said even though there is fuel in Buipe, tankers continue to bypass the place and move down south for fuel.
"Petrol and diesel is here, yet each day over 20 vehicles move to Tema to fill," he said
Mr. Nashiru called for a dialogue on the electronic seal.
The General Manager for Terminal and Transmission, Josiah Ata Kobina earlier raised concerns over the low patronage by tanker operations. He said currently, the depot has full stock yet most of the tankers do not patronise the place.
He said in the last two years, there have been some works done to expand their production.
Mr. Kobina said they are able to store about 5.2 million volumes of fuel at a time.
