The Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has commended the hard work and innovation exhibited by health personnel at the Manhyia government hospital which has led to one of its staff winning the 2021 National Best Nurse and Midwife Award.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II expressed his commendation at the Manhyia Palace when Executives of Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA) at the Manhyia hospital paid a courtesy call to introduce Aisha Bawa, a midwife at the hospital, who won the award, to him.
The award scheme is organised by the GRNMA to honour its deserving members.
Aisha Bawa, won the award because she designed a movable emergency bed/trolley for newborns among other things.
