A second attempt by Bright Nyatsikor to be confirmed as the District Chief Executive for Adaklu has failed.
This follows his second nomination by President Akufo-Addo.
Mr. Nyatsikor who polled 9 votes in his favor against 10, representing 45%, in his first attempt garnered 8 'yes' votes on Friday when he was re-presented to the Assembly.
Eleven Assembly Members rejected his second nomination. There was one rejected ballot.
Mr. Nyatsikor is the Public Relations Officer of the Volta Regional National Health Insurance Authority.
This is the third time the Adaklu District Assembly is rejecting a Cheif Executive nominee by the President.
The immediate past DCE, Phanuel Kadey, was rejected in his bid to serve another term in office.
Meanwhile the Akatsi North District Assembly has also rejected Paul Agbesi Ayrah as Cheif Executive.
Nine ‘yes’ votes out of 18 total votes wasn't enough to confirm him.
Eight Assembly Members voted against him. One ballot was rejected.
