Youth Activist, Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah has refuted claims that #FixTheCountry convener, Oliver Barker-Vormawor has taken money from any political party.
According to him, he could vouch for some members of the group including himself over the said allegation.
“Let anybody in this country say that he has given A or B an amount of C. And from where I sit, Oliver hasn’t taken any money. I can vouch for Oliver Barker-Vormawor and myself and Abraham that no one has taken any money,” he said.
Speaking on JoyNnews’ PM Express, he said some members of the group “dip their hands in their own pockets to get financial mobilisation to support the course."
He added that Commander-in-Chief for the Economic Fighters League (EFL), Ernesto Yeboah is aware of the situation.
“Do you actually believe that if there was any political party that was supporting our course, we would have to struggle to mobilise funds?” he quizzed.
He, however, challenged Ernesto Yeboah to provide evidence to back his accusations.
Afari-Mensah added that “this game is a very dicey game where somebody is accusing the other person of taking money, it could be vice-versa. That they actually take money and create confusion in the game as we may have probably seen now.”
“This could be a very game where people sometimes accuse others of taking money to do the bidding of the political party but in actual sense, there can another side of the coin where somebody will take money and with the intent to disintegrate the group,” he told Evans Mensah on Tuesday.
