One man who played an amazing role in the life of multiple award-winning musician, Kofi Kinaata is dancehall artiste, Samini.
According to Samini, Kofi Kinaata has made him proud with all his accomplishments in his music career.
He told Joy News' Becky after surprising Kofi on stage at his recently ended cooperate Highlife show at the +233 jazz bar in Accra.
“Well, words can’t express something you see manifesting that you’ve predicted. Words can’t express how great I feel to have seen him come from a very young age. He is still quite young but then to have mentioned him for him to have listened and taken most of the things we said to him seriously.
"Today, he is on stage with the full band. He came to us as a rapper that's how he started and today he is on stage as a full musician and I can only say I wish him all the best as I said on stage. We know him from childhood so we know what he can do. I am very proud of him."
Samini, through his High-Grade Family record label, introduced the likes of Kaaki, Kofi Kinaata and Stonebwoy to music lovers.
He is currently set to host his Experience show on December 24 in Accra.
“So far everything is going well, promo is going well, and patronage is going well. So I’m just looking forward to seeing my fans out there. All my lovers, all well-wishers, everyone that has been part of the movement from day one to come and celebrate me at 40. I turned 40 on the 22nd and the first show as a 40-year-old will be on the 24th to come and experience the new Samini.
"I have got shows on stage alongside other artists. I have also done a Samini fest which is my show and it has opened ways for a lot of artists to come through and do different stuff. This is my first full auditorium event”
