Golden Tulip Kumasi City as part of its commitment to its Corporate Social Responsibilities has once again made a donation to King Jesus Charity Home located in Kumasi.
The hotel team led by the General Manager, Zouhair Labdi visited the orphanage home on Thursday, December 2, 2021, to present the items which included: stationary, toiletries, bags of rice and cooking oil, lunch packs, soft drinks, nose mask and sanitizers.
In addition, a huge pre-Christmas cake and clothes were presented to the children to usher them into the festive season.
Handing over the items, Mr Zouhair Labdi, reiterated that the periodic donation by the hotel formed part of its Corporate Social responsibility initiative to give back to society in a bid to cater for the welfare of the vulnerable.
He recalled that the hotel had made similar donations to many orphanage homes in Kumasi in the past as a hospitality facility that takes the plight of the less privileged at heart.
The Director of the home, Kofi Owusu Afriyie, who received the items on behalf of the home, expressed gratitude to the hotel for the gesture and assured that they will use the items judiciously to enhance their living conditions.
He disclosed that the home was established in 1996, with three children made up of street children and orphans, adding that they have been able to sponsor the education of some of the children to the universities, Polytechnics, teacher training colleges and vocational institute. “We now have an average of 85 children with ages ranging from 8 months to 18 years”.
Rev. Owusu Afriyie appealed to churches, corporate organizations, and philanthropists to also come to the aid of the children.
In an interview with the media, the Sales & Marketing Manager of the Golden Tulip Kumasi, Barbara Mensah urged corporate Ghana to take a cue from such benevolence and support the needy.
As Christmas approaches, she seized the opportunity to invite the public to the Golden Tulip Kumasi City this festive season for mouthwatering packages and fun-packed activities for family and friends.
