Chief Executive Officer of Asafo-Agyei hospital-Kumasi Archbishop Prof. Dr. Asafo-Agyei Anane Frempong has been honoured at the just ended Sustainability & Social Investment (SSI) Awards for his exploits in the medical profession and impact on society.

The 5th Sustainability & Social Investment award was held last week Friday, November 26, 2021, at Movenpick Ambassador Hotel, Accra.

The purpose of the SSI Awards is to create awareness and encourage companies in delivering high impact CSI/CSR projects that align with government’s focus on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

It is also to adopt a multi-stakeholder approach that leads to excellent outcomes and also, to infuse corporate social investments and innovations in the form of approach, usage of technology and expertise towards solving developmental challenges faced by the society, individuals and communities as a whole.

These Awards are created to recognise businesses that creatively approach corporate social responsibility and reward those who are creating new standards, committing their organisation to make social responsibility an integral part of their business.

Archbishop Prof. Dr Asafo-Agyei Anane Frempong is known as the first Ghanaian to qualify as an expert in the non-surgical treatment of piles in 1991.

Through his philanthropic activities, he provides free screening to the public on piles (kooko) and treats most patients free at his Asafo-Agyei hospital.

Dr Asafo-Agyei was further cited for his invaluable contributions to the health sector of the country and Africa as a whole.

As an anointed man of God and founder of the Great Eternal Harvest International Ministry in Kumasi, he is also a proud recipient of the International man of the year 1991, 1992 and International man of achievement for 1993 and 1994 conferred on him by the International Biographical Centre (IBC) UK” and several local and global awards including the recent prestigious International Diamond Prize for excellence in quality by the European Society for Quality Research (ESQR).

Speaking in an interview after receiving the award, Archbishop Prof. Dr Asafo-Agyei Anane Frempong thanked the organisers for the honour and Ghanaians especially for accepting the Piles treatment he introduced.

“I am happy to have impacted so many people in Ghana and the world over with my piles treatment using the hemorrhoidectomy method I introduced in 1991and I’m inviting the general public to visit the Asafo-Agyei hospital located at Daaban-Kumasi for free piles screening”.
