Former board member of Accra Hearts of Oak, Apiigi Afenu has denied reports in the media that he had some financial disagreements with Togbe Afede before tendering in his resignation.
Afenu was said to have resigned due to some financial disagreements within the club such as players and staff salaries.
But the administrator has debunked the allegation and says in an interview with Joy Sports, he resigned amicably.
“Yes I have resigned, but never had any disagreement with the board chairman. I have extra responsibilities now on SAS and Africa World Airlines and so in an agreement with the board I decided to inform them to let go the duties on the Accra Hearts of Oak board.” He said
The Hearts board is yet to find replacement for Afenu.
