The myth or reality of financial security will be under discussion when Insurance Group, Hollard Ghana sits with returnee network, Ahaspora Young Professionals for an executive panel moderated by the Managing Director of Hollard Life Assurance, Nashiru Iddrisu on Thursday 25th November at 6 pm.
The panel event which will be streamed live via Hollard Ghana and Ahaspora Facebook pages, is the latest edition of Hollard Ghana’s H. Insured: All About Insurance thought leadership webinar series which seeks to demystify insurance.
The panelists are insurance and finance experts drawn from Ahaspora and Hollard, including Chief Operating Officer, People’s Pension Trust, Kofi Eba-Miezeh Polley; Head of Financial Planning, Axis Pensions Trust, Mimi Anane-Appiah; Head of Finance, Hollard Insurance, Franklin Beecham Baiden; Head of Retail & Partnerships, Yvonne Narki Dowuona; as well as the moderator and Managing Director of Hollard Life, Nashiru Iddrisu.
On the essence of the event, Cynthia Ofori- Dwumfuo, Group Head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs, Hollard Ghana, said this was another activity in the company’s effort to engage with various stakeholders on the importance of insurance.
“At Hollard, we understand that increasing the penetration of insurance will take a concerted effort engaging stakeholder groups on the benefits of insurance. Being an unconventional company with a purpose to create and secure better futures we believe it’s important to shed the formality when it comes to ensuring the wellbeing of people. In this case, we are excited to engage the Ahaspora community on that thorny issue of financial security. For many young professionals’, financial security may not look immediately attainable, but this panel will reveal just how realistic it is, if done right. We hope members will leave with financial planning knowledge while organically becoming advocates for insurance.”
Ahaspora is a network of Ghanaian returnee professionals working to use their knowledge, skills, and resources to make Ghana a better place to live. Their vision is to promote Brain Gain by providing a support system for Ghanaian professionals and like-minded individuals who are thinking about or have returned home, why bridging the gap between the Diaspora and those who have returned.
Founder and Co-Chair of Ahaspora, Christabel E. Dadzie said, “Ahaspora makes a concerted effort to curate programming for its members and the larger professional community in Ghana, by partnering with organizations on topics of importance. As such, we are excited to partner with Hollard Insurance on such a crucial topic – demystifying financial investments. In addition to the panel discussion, attendees will have the opportunity to network with industry experts and like-minded individuals. We are grateful to Hollard Insurance for their support and look forward to continued collaborations.”
This down to earth and jargon-free session promises to be very insightful and educative. The event is by invitation and hosted at Sai Wine & Champagne Café, Osu. The public is welcome to join H.Insured: All about Insurance webinar series via Hollard Ghana and Ahaspora Facebook pages this Thursday evening.
