Contestants of Chemu SHS, Nethanel Atilusey and Evans Koodi Martey have been praised on social media for rising to the occasion and showing two-time-champion, St Augustine's College the exit in the 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ).
Friday's race, featuring Kanton SHS and the aforementioned schools, left supporters of Augusco and Chemu as nervous wrecks as both schools kept surpassing each other in the five rounds of the contest. It indeed was a tight contest.
Chemu SHS, considered underdogs, made their first appearance at the quarter-final stage on Friday yet left all who predicted victory for St Augustine's and their doom baffled, due to their determination and persevering spirit. With a three-point difference, they progressed to the semi-final stage of the contest.
While Chemu SHS has been extoled, St Augustine's College on the other hand is being trolled on Twitter for their untimely exit since the school promised success after eliminating St. Thomas Aquinas SHS with 61 points at the one-eighth stage.
"No school should be underrated in the competition" were the final words of Chemu SHS. Maybe Augusco can take a cue from this submission and better their efforts in future contests.
Here are tweets in reaction to the contest:

Although Kanton SHS was lagging at the beginning of the contest, they managed to pull their thoughts together and gave an impressive performance in Round Four.
They rightly answered all their questions during the True or False round. Their achievement was not overlooked by social media users.
