Students and supporters of St. Thomas Aquinas are in a state of shock after they were crashed out of the 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) championship on Monday.
The school lost to two-time NSMQ champions, St. Augustine's College, after failing to demonstrate any challenging prowess.
St. Thomas Aquinas was uncharacteristically poor during the contest and failed to be competitive enough for its major contender, Augusco and Anlo SHS.

St. Augustine College finished the contest with 64 points after ditching Aquinas and Anlo SHS, who managed 41 points and 26 points, respectively.
Augusco's victory sent its supporters into a state of frenzy as its dominance in the contest could not be suppressed by Aquinas' efforts.
The second round of the contest saw the Augusco boys scoring almost all the questions, a moment that elicited the response of "afei correct answers naaa" from their supporters.
St. Augustine's College will compete with Chemu SHS and Kanton SHS in the quarterfinal stage of the contest.

It was another unsuccessful attempt by the contestants of St. Thomas Aquinas to repeat the achievement of their predecessors in 2013.
For Augusco, their undoubted quest to grab the trophy from defending champions Presec-Legon should echo loudly in the ears of all contenders after their gargantuan victory on Monday, November 15.
