Winners of the 2021 maiden edition of the Western Gospel Awards were announced on Sunday, November 7, 2021.

It was hosted at the Word of Life Assemblies of God Church, Anaji in Takoradi.

The event organized by Prolific GH Entertainment honoured outstanding musical achievements in the region.

Musician S.K Frimpong won in the Emerging as Artist of the Year category and also Worship Song of the Year.

Gospel musician KDM also walked away with three awards with J-Josh winning two awards including Video of the Year.

Minister Navah won the Urban Gospel Artiste of the year category.

MaxPraize won Praise Song of the Year while Ewuraba Eesi won Female Gospel Artiste of the Year.

Kwamiena took home the Male Vocalist of the Year award, AJ Quansah - Best Female Vocalist and Sixteenth Angelic Choir won the Choral Choir/Group of the Year.

Fusion also secured the Contemporary Choir/Group of the Year category and Wesleyan Symphonic Choir Ghana won Non-Denominational Choir/Group of the Year.

This maiden edition of the Western Gospel Awards was to celebrate and appreciate Gospel/Christian music originating from the Western region and western region artistes. 

The 2021 maiden edition of the western Gospel Awards was hosted by celebrated media personality John Kay and youth empowerment activist Lady Reverend Princess Ada Ayoka with performances J-Josh, AJ Quansah , Sixteenth Angelic Choir, Symphonic Choir Ghana, MaxPraize and Kingzkid, among others.
