Tamale Senior High School has progressed to the one-eighth stage of the National Science and Maths Quiz after defeating St. Francis Girls and Bongo SHS with a whopping 79 points.
This makes them the highest scoring school in the preliminary contest so far.
Tamale Senior High floored St. Francis Girls and Bongo SHS who waddled behind them with 29 points and 20 points respectively.
Although they did not qualify for the Prudential Life NSMQ star award, they picked up the Goil Riddle Bonanza award for answering all four riddles correctly in the contest.
They will journey to Kumasi where they will contest with other schools for the much coveted NSMQ Championship award.
The Northern Region Prelims ended on Friday with Tamale Senior High School topping the other schools who won in Thursday's preliminary contest.
