Head coach of the Black Queens, Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo, has admitted failure to qualify for the 2022 AWCON means her team 'are going back to the drawing board to start preparing.'
Despite winning in the second leg, the Black Queens failed to cross the hurdle succumbing to a 2-1 defeat on aggregate to the Super Falcons.
Elimination means that Tagoe-Quarcoo's girls will not partake in the AWCON in Morocco and the World Cup. She believes it's a good time for some retrospection and preparation.
“Unfortunately we could not qualify, so for now we have nothing else to do than to wait after three years. We are going back to the drawing board to start preparing.
“This is a very young team and we are doing team building till the 3-years is up.” Tagoe-Quarcoo concluded.
