The National Peace Council has impressed upon government to speed up the implementation of the report by the committee tasked to probe the Ejura disturbances.
Chairman of the Council Rev Ernest Adu Gyamfi says they have been engaging the Interior Minister, Ambrose Dery, behind closed doors on the issues.
"These are things we do behind closed doors, and it's the area where people don't seem to understand.
"They expect us to come publicly to say we have done this or telling somebody to do that. We go behind closed doors to appeal to them," he said.
In the Council's view, the delay is brewing tension amongst the youth in the area.
"This thing is delaying, the process of delaying creates some situation of tension, and people don't understand why, so can you speed up the process. Can you bring clarity to this so that people can understand what is going on," he explained.
Rev Adu Gyamfi also appealed to the youth to remain calm because processes are ongoing to comply with the recommendations captured in the report.
"We want to appeal to them to be a little patient and then wait to see the end of the process. Certainly, once there's a commission, there's a report; it cannot just die. But, certainly, there will be a release, and we need to be patient till we get there," he added.
