Ghana’s Black Queens held their first training session at the Legacy Pitch, Surulere on Tuesday to kick off their pre-match preparations for the Aisha Buhari Cup.
Mercy Tagoe Quarcoo had a fully fit squad to train with the exception of Gladys Amfobea who did not last the entire session after pulling a muscle.
‘’This Aisha Buhari Cup is serving as preparation match for Ghana ahead of the pending assignment (Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers) and you see the squad here is ready’’ said Coach Mercy Tagoe after the training session.
The training, Ghana's first since arriving in Nigeria on Monday lasted for one hour 20 minutes.
The Black Queens will start their campaign against South Africa on Friday, September 17, 2021.
