A government delegation was in the Ashanti Regional town of Ejura, on Thursday, to meet traditional, religious and opinion leaders ahead of the public disclosure of the report by the Justice Koomson Committee.
The delegation also met with families whose relatives died during the Ejura disturbances.
Members of the delegation included the Coordinator for the Zongo and Inner-City Development Secretariat under the Office of the President, Ben Abdallah Banda and Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority, Mustapha Abdul-Hamid.
Others are Sheikh Aremeyaw Shuaib, Spokesperson of the National Chief Imam and a representative from the Ministry of the Interior.
Abdulah Abubakar, the family head of the late Abdul-Nasir Yussif, one of the two shot dead in the Ejura incident, told journalists that the delegation only came to deliver information about the readiness of the committee's report.
He said, "they only called us to tell us that the President of the Republic has sent a group to come and tell us the report is out."
Mr Abubakar insisted that the family wants nothing but justice.
The Justice Koomson Committee of Inquiry into the Ejura disturbances submitted its report to the Interior Minister weeks ago.
But the details of the report and recommendations are yet to be made public.
Families of the late Abdul-Nasir Yussif and Murtala Mohammed want the government to make the report public .
They also want justice to be served.
