Authorities at the Christ Faith Foster Home at Frafraha have called for support from government to aid the running of its activities.
The orphanage which currently houses about 38 children, was founded in the 1970s by some Ghanaians and a German missionary.
Managers say the home has since been fueled by the benevolence of donors.
“We currently need more accommodation, textbooks, clothes and kitchen equipment. Over the years, donations have been our main source of funding”, a Caretaker of the home, Abraham Danso said.
He also appealed to the government to help them improve on the accommodation deficit there.
Mr Danso made this call when officials of CFS Group Ghana donated some items to the home.
The items which included food, sanitary products and valued at over Ghs5000 was in line with the company’s social responsibility and also to celebrate some financial gains made despite the adverse effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to Chief Executive Officer of CFS Group, Uche Michael Ogbonna “the year has been challenging, looking at the COVID situation and all that has happened, God has been faithful and all the subsidiaries under my management has been profitable. This is a way of expressing my gratitude to God and also to celebrate with the kids.”
