Playwright Latif Abubakar’s ‘Something must kill a man’ play has gained momentum with video endorsements from some celebrities across the entertainment industry in Ghana.
Many are wondering what can kill a man. Is it sex, food, the love of money or women? Well, the day is finally here to find out.
With the play starting to show tonight, Joy Entertainment's with The Multimedia Group, Mapitso Sebidi, has joined the endorsement train to declare support for the open-air theatre to be staged on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th September at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra.
The host of 'Joy News Interactive' believes this will be an exciting and thrilling experience especially because theatres have been closed for so long due to the pandemic and this will ease the stress of the past months.
“If you want to know what kills a man make sure to come to the Labadi Beach Hotel to find out”, she urged her followers on Instagram.
In partnership with Joy Entertainment and Graphic News App, the play features actors Leslie Wallace who will be taking us through a musical journey with his guitar and soothing voice throughout the play.
The first time on the theatre stage is film actress Sitsofe Tsikor who says the excitement and anxiety have been building up, “I am daring greatly, there is no cut just one continuous shot” she told Lexis Bill on Joy FM’s DriveTime.
According to playwright Latif Abubakar, “Something Must Kill A Man” is a one of a kind play with regards to staging plays in Ghana “we have not experienced commercial open-air theatre in the country, it’s the first of its kind.
It’s not about coming to laugh out loud and leaving the auditorium but you will leave with good communication skills, good team-building skills and you will be able to apply them at work”, Abubakar told Lexis Bill.
Join Mapitso Sebidi and the Joy Entertainment team for this once in a lifetime experience.
