New Hearts of Oak signing Gladson Awako has showered praises on the Phobia family after the receiving a raucous reception on social media after joining the club.
The former Great Olympics talisman moved to Hearts in what was the biggest move in the Ghana Premier Transfer window this summer.
The Phobians paid a compensation of about $15,000 for Awako who scored seven goals last season.
Awako in an exclusive with Joy Sports described the Hearts of Oak fans as the most receptive in his entire football career.
"I swear I didn't expect this. From my social media handles, everywhere they were on me - my inboxes, they came messaging me. They were so happy and that alone makes me feel so welcomed."
They kept asking me to change my profile. But I love that, I love the passion coming from the supporters as well.
I believe things will be fine, with the way they want the best for the club, and we'll also make sure that we'll give them the best," the 30-year-old added.
The former CAF Champions League, Confederation and Super cup winner will be expected to help the Phobians as they return to the continental stage after a six-year of absence against Guinea’s Industriel De Kamsar this month.
