Gospel music group, Getty & Friends has hinted at dropping a new single in a couple of weeks.
The leader of the group, Getty Oduro Annan in an interview with JoyNews, acknowledged that the music industry in the country has transformed.
However, she was optimistic that the musical craft of her team can meet the expectations of Ghanaians.
“Generations have changed, things change, technology has changed, sound systems, studio equipment everything has changed.
“I believe that we have evolved with the change that has gone on and by the grace of God we have a few of us who have broken through internationally and there is still a lot more that need some more work but on the whole, we give glory to God for all that he is doing through gospel music,” she told Becky.
Speaking on why the group has been off scene, the musicians said she had to relocate to the United States of America (USA) for some personal reasons.
“I’ve been in the US all this while, I do come home but I come in the quiet and just visit family and go back. It was an unintentional move, but God did establish me there then I had a family there and I had to take care of them.
“By the grace of God, I got ordained as a pastor so I’m now heading a branch of Winners Life Chapel at New York which makes it quite difficult for me to move but, right now my kids are grown, they are able to handle themselves and then we have other pastors in the church so I can freely move around.”
