Actress Beverly Afaglo has announced on her Instagram page that a four-hour fire has consumed her house.
She said her property burned to ashes but was happy there were no casualties.
Listing the items she lost to the fire, the actress indicated that "my passports, clothes, shoes, bags, wigs, jewellery, perfumes, my furniture, my kitchen, everything is gone. My kids' room and all their clothes everything is gone. I’m left with what I wore out, that’s all".
The actress told her 968,000 followers on Instagram that officers from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) got to her house on time, but “they couldn’t go inside because of the heavy smoke.”
According to her, about three fire trucks arrived, and it was only when the last one that it “went through a neighbour’s house and started putting off the fire, but it was too late.”
Minutes after the incident became public; her industry colleagues have been sympathising with her.
Gospel musician Celestine Donkor said, “This is sad. Sorry, sis [sic], for all you lost. But I thank God there [was] no life lost. This one shall pass.”
Film director Kobi Rana offered his help “Oh sis [sic]. I am so sorry to her. My heart out to the children, Anything, I’m just a DM [sic] away.”
Actress Vicky Zugah also shared how a portion of her house got burnt last December,
“This is really sad. I tried calling, but your number has been busy. A portion of my place got burnt last December, too, and I can only imagine how you feel but don't think about it too much. You will get back all you lost (plus more) with time. Thank God for your life and that of the family,” she commented.
