The Bono East Regional Minister, Kwasi Adu-Gyan, has charged the youth of the region to be creative and innovative while pursuing their personal dreams as they prepare to enter the job market.
He made this call when he joined the National Service Personnel (NASPA) in Techiman Municipality to launch this year's NASPA Week Celebration at the Bonokyempim Hall.
The theme for the celebration is "Sustainable mining for national development, an all in all call".
Addressing his audience, the Minister bemoaned the situation where the youth would line up chasing the few government job opportunities, knocking on the doors of politicians with rich CVs for non existing jobs instead of seeking guidance and assistance to become entrepreneurs.
Mr. Adu Gyan challenged the youth, to come to his office with meaningful proposals to become part of the Bono East Agenda which is basically creating enabling environment for sustainable agribusinesses.
"The Bono East Region aims at becoming a hub for industrial agribusinesses in the country and so I call on you to take advantage of this as you embark on this journey in the job market".
"You the youth must always remember that you are not alone, there are people around who are eager to mentor and nurture you. Follow your dreams, open up to them, have opened discussions with them and dream big," he said
President of the National Service Personnel Association (NASPA) for the three regions (Bono, Bono East, and Ahafo), Prince Gyasi Berchie Antwi, used the platform to urge government to consider increasing the allowances of personnel.
On behalf of NASPA, he thanked the Minister for taking time out of his busy schedule to meet and motivate them into developing their dreams.
Other speakers at the event included; Mr. Yaw A. Owusu - Dankwah, GEA, Mr Daniel Owiredu, Bono East Regional Director of YEA, Patrick Asante, the manager for the Business Resource Center, among others.
