The Economic Advisor and Spokesperson to the Vice-President, Dr Gideon Boako has donated GH¢10,000 to Tano Bofoakwa Football Club in Sunyani in the Bono Region.
The Presidential Staffer, through the Bono Regional Communications Director, Mr Asare Bediako Seth donated the amount to the team in fulfilment of an earlier pledge he made ahead of their last match in Berekum.
Dr Gideon Boako on Sunday met with the players and management body of Tano Bofoakwa F.C and gave them encouragement ahead of their deciding encounter with Berekum Arsenal.
“I want to encourage you all to give out your utmost best, fight as if your life depends on this match," Dr Boako told the players.
In an interview with the press, Mr Asare Bediako Seth who made the presentation said, the donation was to support the club in its financial obligations and also aid them as they make preparation for next season.
The Operations Manager for Tano Bofoakwa, Mr Alphonse Cuddjoe who received the amount expressed their gratitude to Dr Boako for his kind gesture and assured him that, the money will be used judiciously to yield better results for the team.
