Ghana newboy Jeffrey Sarpong could be tempted to move on in order to get regular first team football, with Spain as a possible destination.
According to a report in El Mundo Deportivo, Segunda Division outfit Real Sociedad are closely monitoring the situation of the highly rated youngster.
The attacking midfielder is a product of the Ajax youth academy and was considered one of Europe's most promising talents.
However, Sarpong has failed to live up to the expectations so far and has mainly been warming the bench at the Amsterdam side.
The 20-year-old has made twenty league appearances for Ajax so far, netting once.
The midfielder isn't very much likely to get regular first team football next term and might therefore opt to move on to play his football somewhere else.
The Spanish newspaper claims that Sociedad are eager to return to the Primera Division and that they've made signing Sarpong their primary objective this summer.
Additionally, they're keeping tabs on Ajax's Brazilian winger Leonardo too.
The former Feyenoord youngster's contract is set to expire soon, and he could decide to leave Ajax on a Bosman free transfer.
