Kuuku Dadzie, the coach of Ghana Premier League side Ebusua Dwarfs, has rendered an unqualified apology to Kotoko, King Faisal and the GFA for his claims on match fixing.
On matchday 32, Kotoko and King Faisal clashed at the Len Clay Sports stadium and the score line was 1-1. After the game, Dadzie accused the two teams of match fixing.
"King Faisal have been buying matches," he was quoted as saying after the game.
"Playing against Asante Kotoko, they [King Faisal] bought the match because they don't want to be relegated. I know it and I insist they bought the match."
His comments sparked a nationwide discussion and caught the attention of the GFA who asked Dadzie to furnish them with the relevant information on the matter or face charges.
Dadzie has now apologized to the public for his comments.
“I wish to unreservedly apologize to all who have been affected by the said conversation especially to Asante Kotoko, King Faisal and the Ghana Football Association” the letter read.
Asante Kotoko are currently three points behind league leaders Hearts of Oak with two games to go in the 2020/21 Ghana football season.
