Hip-life duo Keche made up of Joshua Kojo Ampah and Andrew Kofi Cudjoe, have stated that they were scared of retiring from music without an award.
The music duo who won the Group of the Year award at the recent Vodafone Ghana Music Awards revealed that they have been expecting to win the award throughout the years since the award defines them as a duo.
They made this statement during an interview on Let’s Talk Showbiz with IB Ben Baako.
“We were not here to pick up the award when we won the Group of the Year award, we have been looking for that one all these years, and you know that is what defines Keche.
“I was asking my colleague that, so are we going to grow up one day and retire from music and if I tell my kids that we were a duo and they ask me what is there to show for it, what am I going to say? So it means a lot to us, this is our first Ghana music award and we really appreciate it,” Andrew Cudjoe of Keche said.
The duo, won the Group of the Year award at the 22nd Vodafone Ghana Music Awards with their viral hit song ‘No Dulling’ featuring Highlife singer Kuami Eugene.
The song was by far one of the hit and most viral songs under the year under review and was one of the top favourites to win the award.
