Some angry youth who are demanding justice for the murdered social media activist. Ibrahim Mohammed, went on a rampage in Ejura on Monday.

The youth in Ejura were demonstrating over the death of their colleague, known as, Kaaka.

The angry youth burnt tyres on some major streets as a sign of anger following the death their colleague.

They want justice to be served immediately to serve as deterrent to other criminals in the town.

It took the timely intervention of the Police to prevent the youth from escalating the situation.

This comes after a 40-year-old man was attacked by an angry mob at Ejura Saturday dawn for asking for a better Ejura.

The deceased was attacked by two assailants yet to be arrested by the Police. He was repeatedly struck in the head with objects until he lost consciousness.

Meanwhile, #FixTheCountry conveners are also demanding justice following his demise.

In a press release, the Conveners alleged that the deceased had been receiving threats from supposed bodyguards of the Ejura Sekyeredumase MCE, who claimed Mr Mohammed’s activities on social media, were making government unpopular in the area.

“In fact, less than two weeks ago, various individuals had gone to report Kaaka to the Ejura Police in order to get him to stop his work.”

The #FixTheCountry conveners stated that if Ghana is truly a democratic state, the police should leave no stone unturned in investigating and prosecuting the perpetrators of the crime.

They added that they will seek a formal audience with the Inspector General of Police (IGP), stating that they will not rest until the late Mr. Mohammed gets the justice he deserves.

Again, the Group has disclosed its intention to petition the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) on the matter.
