Mamavi Owusu-Aboagye of JoyNews' has been unveiled as the new Brand Ambassador for QIC GO GIRL Motor Insurance policy.
Among other things, she will champion and support the care of children battling cancers at the country’s health facilities.
The Go Girl policy is an initiative by Quality Insurance Company which seeks to encourage women to be independent of any third parties as far as motor insurance is concerned.

At a ceremony to unveil the Go Girl Ambassador, Head of Operations at QIC, Cecil Roberio noted that over the years, QIC has realized that women are better drivers than men, and to honour them, the policy was birthed to make life less stressful for women in case of an accident.
Mamavi is the host for the AM Show on the JoyNews Channel with over 15years experience in media practice.

As the new face of QIC GO GIRL Motor Insurance policy, Mamavi has assured that she will ensure that the partnership goes beyond providing insurance to female insurance policy holders.

“There are so many social issues that come to us that most of the time we are helpless about. So, I felt like because of the social intervention aspect of what QIC intends to do with the GO GIRL policy, I thought I will be of good help.
“A perfect intervention. Because as I sit in the newsroom, obviously I get to see a lot of stories that they can step into. So, the whole idea, even as they promote a new policy, is also for me to take advantage of what QIC have to support particularly children with cancers,” she said
A percentage of every premium on the GO GIRL policy goes into supporting the building of a Childhood Ghana Centre at the Korle-bu Teaching Hospital, in Accra.
