It was a night full of soothing music vibes when the Ghanaian highlife singer, KiDi performed some songs from his yet to be released ‘Golden Boy’ album.
The private event gave some of his fans who turned up the opportunity to interact with him face-to-face at Kwahu on Tuesday night.
His performance of selected tracks from the album, including ‘Touch It’, caused intense excitement amongst the thrilled audience who yelled for more music.
To KiDi, the night was symbolic.
“Apart from my concert that I did here, I haven’t really done anything here, so I decided that listen; Accra has me 24/7, 365 times a year…
“I’m like charlie; this one time let me come to my hometown and launch my album here because it is symbolic to me; this is where I come from, so I’m just glad I was able to come here,” he told Joy Prime’s Ibrahim Ben-Bako.
Musicians from Accra and other parts of the country graced the night to throw their weight behind the Lynx Entertainment signee.
According to Kuami Eugene, it is a “beautiful album, and as usual, it’s KiDi, so let keep supporting, this is all we can do for him, support.”
The ‘Golden Boy’ album will be released Thursday, June 24.
The single goal of KiDi is for his album to be loved all across Ghana, Africa and the world.
“I want people to hear my name, I want my name to grow, my sound to grow and my numbers to grow.
“I am really hoping this Golden Boy project takes me to the next level of my career,” he told Pulse Ghana earlier this year.
