Asante Kotoko deputy captain Emmanuel Gyamfi has been referred to the Ghana FA disciplinary committee after he was charged with misconduct following his stamp on Andy Okpe in the Ghana Premier League matchday 29 fixture against Inter Allies FC in Dawu.

The Porcupine Warriors beat the Capelli Boys 3-1 to go level on points with league leaders Hearts of Oak on Monday but while all appeared well, a video of an off-the-ball incident where Emmanuel Gyamfi stamped Andy Okpe went viral.

It’s unclear if the FA prosecutor acted upon seeing the video or a formal complaint was made by the Inter Allies F,. The Kotoko deputy captain appeared to have lost his cool in the 65th minute of the game and stamped the feet of his opponent although Okpe was not in possession of the ball.
