Gospel musician, Yaw Sarpong has put to bed, rumors of him being married to his band mate, Maame Tiwa.
The musician revealed on E Vibes show with Becky, that Tiwa is more like a family member and anything beyond that are just speculations.
"Tiwa is not my wife. I picked Tiwa because of her talent and we’ve been working since 1981. Her first child stayed with me and my wife even before we started performing together," he told Becky.
He added the confusion for people is the fact that he’s been able to work with her for that long.
"A lot of people kept asking how I’ve been able to work with her for that long. My wife knows Tiwa is not my wife and the people who know this can testify. These speculations became rife when our popularity kept expanding.”
According to Yaw Sarpong, he has four children with his wife. He clarified that Tiwa has her own children too. The two have worked together for 39 years and have released notable songs such as 'Oko Yi', 'Waye Awie', 'Yen Kakyere Agya Se' and 'Wo Haw Ne Sen'.
