The board of Miss Uni International has paid a working visit to the factory of textile giants, GTP in Tema.
The visit forms part of Miss Uni International's quest to drive development through culture and tourism.
It was also aimed at promoting made in Ghana goods.
Project Manager, Miss Uni International, Oheneba Akosua Kyerewah said in an interview "We took the ladies to one of the biggest and long lasting factories that produces fabrics made in Ghana to make the ladies appreciate effort that goes into making a piece of cloth.
"We also realized the impact it makes as it creates more job for the Ghanaian youth, by utilizing their skills."
The Marketing Manager of GTP took the smartly dressed delegates through a brief history of the factory being established by Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana's first president which is partly owned by Ghana government.
He admonished the ladies to promote what is Ghana or made in Ghana products saying, "As you travel on your various trips locally and internationally try as much as possible to sell Ghana to the world."
GTP appreciated the ladies with a cloth each after the facility tour and wished them well.
Miss UNi International is a maiden pageant which primarily seeks to take domestic tourism a notch higher.
