South Korea’s U24 team failed to break a sweat as they beat Ghana’s U24 team 3-1 in a friendly on Saturday.
Ghana continued their Asian tour against South Korea having played Japan twice previously.
After losing 10-0 on aggregate against the Japanese, a lot was expected from Paa Kwasi Fabin’s men.
However, the Ghanaian team conceded early again after loose marking left Lee Sang-Min unmarked as he powered his header home.
Five minutes till the half time break, Kim Jin-Ya was showed a straight red card for dangerous play after a VAR consultation.
The Black Meteors failed to capitalise and it was the South Koreans who came out for the second half the better side.
Two quick-fire goals from Lee Seung-Mo and Gue-Sung Cho put the game beyond Ghana.
With a quarter of the game left to play, second half substitute Samuel Obeng pulled a goal back for the Black Meteors.
Despite being a man down for majority of the game, South Korea dominated the game and could have scored a couple more goals if they were more clinical.
The Black Meteors will have a chance to avenge this defeat on Tuesday when both sides meet again in Korea.
