Education Minister Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum has debunked claims that the Akufo-Addo led-administration has turned deaf ears to Ghanaian youth's demands, welfare, and the country's development in the wake of #FixTheCountry campaign.
According to him, government is determined to improve livelihoods through their numerous policies for the betterment of all citizenry.
Speaking at the formal launching of amplified, which aimed at promoting youth Ghanaian entrepreneurs and businesses, Dr Adwutwum challenged the youth to be courageous and dream big without being complacent with their accomplishments.
The MP for Bosomtwe said, “The President wants to make sure that we create a better nation than we came to meet it. So in everything that we do at the Education Ministry, our focus is to ensure that we bring about the transformation that has eluded us for some time and begin to offer our young men and women the opportunity to succeed.
“So I want to challenge the youth here that your great things are ahead of you. Whatever you are doing now, do not think that is the greatest thing in your life. So if you are not bought down by complacency, and you begin to dream big, great things will happen.”
On his part, the Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, said the amplified project will give exposure to young entrepreneurs, businesses, successes, and social protection programs by Ghanaian innovators.
Mr Oppong Nkrumah added that the ministry is also collaborating with some social media influencers to support the initiative to reach wider audiences.
Acting CEO of National Youth Authority (NYA), Nelson Owusu Ansah, charged Ghanaian graduates to utilize opportunities created by the government to start up their businesses and create jobs for others.
