The National Chief Imam Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu led the 2021 Eid prayer at the forecourt of the Ghana Broadcasting Coporation.
Also present at the event was President Akufo-Addo, Vice President Dr Mahmudu Bawumia, and the Second Lady Samira Bawumia.
Delivering his message, the Chief Imam urged Muslims to remain disciplined and desist from any act that will disrupt the country’s peace as they celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr.
President Akufo-Addo also entreated religious leaders in the country to be tolerant of each other’s religion.
