GPL: Four games to lookout for on matchday 23

Medeama and Asante Kotoko are getting into the habit of swapping positions at the top of the table.

Whilst Hearts of Oak look like a side being left behind in the title race.

The fixtures on Matchday 23 hold a huge significance on both sides of the table.

Here are four games you can’t afford to miss this weekend.

WAFA vs Great Olympics

WAFA are yet to lose a game at home this season and will go into this game full of confidence.

The Academy boys come off the back of an impressive away victory over Berekum Chelsea and will look to tamper with Olympics’ title chances.

Captain of the Oly Dade boys, Gladson Awako has said that his team want to take it game by game despite having one eye on the title.

Olympics will rely on their impressive away form this season which has seen them pick up 13 points from 11 games - the second highest in the league.

With Annor Walker's men looking to close in on Medeama and WAFA aiming to bridge the gap between themselves and the top four, this should be an intriguing tie.

Stadium: WAFA park, Sogakope

Time: Friday, 15:00GMT

Prediction: WAFA 2-1 Great Olympics

Asante Kotoko vs Dreams FC

Kotoko are playing catch-up to Medeama for the title and will look to continue their pursuit with a victory over Dreams.

The Porcupine Warriors’ last game at the Len Clay stadium didn’t go according to plan as they lost to Medeama.

Up next is Dreams, a side they beat in the reverse fixture in Dawu.

The Still Believe boys have coped well after losing their marksman Joseph Esso.

A 2-0 victory over Hearts of Oak proved that they can still compete with the best.

Kotoko will have to be wary of the threat Dreams possess especially on the break.

Stadium: Len Clay stadium, Obuasi

Time: Saturday , 15:00GMT

Prediction: Asante Kotoko 3-1 Dreams FC

Ebusua Dwarfs vs Legon Cities

Two teams who are in desperate need of three points clash this weekend.

Both Ebusua Dwarfs and Legon Cities have one win each in their last six games.

Legon Cities are perhaps under more pressure because they find themselves in the relegation zone.

It’s been a difficult season for the Royals despite investing so much into the club.

There’s been talks this week about Maxwell Konadu replacing Bashir Hayford but the club is yet to confirm.

Time is certainly running out Legon Cities who need to start picking up points.

Ebusua Dwarfs have proved to be a difficult side to beat at home.

Stadium: Nduom Sports Complex, Elmina

Time: Sunday, 15:00GMT

Prediction: Ebusua Dwarfs 1-1 Legon Cities

Hearts of Oak vs King Faisal

The last game of matchday 23 has a lot of promise. Both clubs need maximum points at different ends of the table.

Hearts of Oak can’t afford to lose more ground on Medeama, Kotoko and Olympics.

The Phobians have picked up just one victory in their last four games and pressure is piling on Samuel Boadu.

On the other hand, King Faisal have found a new lease of life.

The Insha Allah boys are unbeaten in their last three games and are on the brink of climbing out of the drop zone.

Three points against Hearts can see King Faisal out of the bottom three. Whilst a victory for Hearts could see them climb into the top three.

Stadium: Accra Sports stadium, Accra

Time: Sunday , 18:00GMT

Prediction: Hearts of Oak 2-2 King Faisal
