American singer Lady Gaga, whose government name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta’s dog walker, Ryan Fischer was recently attacked in West Hollywood, near his home as he walked Lady Gaga’s pit bulls.
He suffered life threatening injuries when he was shot four times in the chest while the dognappers made away with the singer’s pets, back in February.
The desperate singer offered the thieves $500,000 (¢2,896,050) to return her dogs and was hoping the dog walker got more.
According to reports, the five people (James Jackson, Jaylin White, Lafayette Whaley, Jennifer McBride, and Harold White) who have been arrested for the heist, didn’t know the dogs belonged to a celebrity, although they knew the value of the breed of dogs.
The thieves tried to cash in on the reward money by making Jennifer McBride (girlfriend of one of the men’s father), the alleged good Samaritan.
The other four suspects are believed to be documented gang members who will face attempted murder and robbery charges.
McBride was charged as accessory to the crime.
